Why Race With Us

JOIN THE ADVENTURE

Fully Supported & Safe
Safety is a top priority. With the support of the Think Bike Marshals, traffic will be managed and rider safety closely monitored throughout the route. While no ride is ever completely risk-free, their presence ensures a secure, and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Rapid Recover
We’ll have Rapid Recover boots available, at the finish, to aid recovery after the long day in the saddle. Their advanced compression technology helps reduce muscle stiffness, improve circulation, flush out lactic acid, and speed up recovery.
Bike Care
Keep your chain running smooth, on the double century ride to Parys, with Squirt Chain Lube® – a long-lasting, biodegradable dry lube that repels dirt, reduces friction, and extends drivetrain life. No degreasing needed; just brush clean and reapply.
Fully Stocked Water Points
Every water point will be fully stocked with 32GI, water, coke, banana’s, crunchies and sweets. At various water points we will change things up so you’re not eating the same thing all day.

Group Start Times & Rider Guidelines

Group Dynamics:
- This is not a race!
- Ride at your own pace.
- We cannot allow leniency on cut-of times as a delayed water point effects the operational planning of the event, as well as for rider safety to not be out on course alone.
- There is a minimum speed enforced and cut off at the water points. If you do not make it in the cut-off time, you will be asked to load you into the support vehicle and you will be taken to the finish in the vehicle.

Start Times:
06H00 | 26km/hr
06H05 | 28km/hr
06H10 | 30km/hr
06H15 | 30+km/hr

Rider Cut-off Times: Drake Events Management has the right to ask anyone to get into the support vehicles along the route, should they feel that the rider is not keeping up with the pace. Should you be asked to load into a vehicle, the decision has been made with your safety in mind, as well as the experience of all the riders.
